Katherine Davis, <b>Ed.D.</b>

Director of Grants & Community Engagement

Dr. Katherine N. Davis has worked in the philanthropy industry for over 12 years with a skilled background in grant writing, community relationships, and public speaking. She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education from Agnes Scott College and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. Katherine obtained her Doctorate degree in Education, focusing on Literacy from the University of San Diego. Her background includes teaching at the elementary, middle, and collegiate level and working in the nonprofit sector.

With a passion for building stronger communities, Katherine has immersed herself in writing grants for local nonprofits throughout Southern California. Well versed in securing funding for healthcare, housing, and workforce development grants, she migrates toward projects that spark her passion for education, community development, and helping the underserved.

Katherine is a self-directed and outcome-driven Grant Writer/Developer and Major Gifts Officer demonstrating diverse and progressive experience within various community agencies/non-profits/foundations. She has a proven history of cultivating constructive relationships with a broad group of cross-functional business partners, fostering internal and external alliances, and establishing a cooperative climate across multiple departments for maximum ROI.  

Katherine is an achievement-oriented facilitator with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing interests simultaneously, exceed established objectives, and fortify donor/community engagement. Over the course of her grant-writing career, she has secured over $10 million in grants and fundraising.
