Anthony J. Delgado brings over three decades of experience in social work and healthcare management to the National Healthcare and Housing Advisors team. Passionate about improving the lives of individuals and serving communities, Anthony has a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative programs to address homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse.
Anthony's career began as an entry-level clinician and evolved into executive roles, including Division Manager of Adult and Older Adult programs at the Orange County Health Care Agency. His extensive experience includes managing multimillion-dollar recovery-oriented programs, crisis response teams, and comprehensive mental health services. Notably, he successfully implemented the CAHOOTS crisis response model in several Orange County cities, enhancing community safety and service efficiency.
Known for his creative and out-of-the-box thinking, Anthony has a talent for turning challenges into opportunities. His work with Mobile Response Services led to increased calls for service, reduced response times, and stronger collaborations with law enforcement. His strategic approach and dedication to excellence are evident in his ability to build high-performance teams and foster community partnerships.
Anthony holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from California State University Long Beach and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. He is bilingual and bicultural, which enhances his ability to connect with diverse communities.
Married with four children and thirteen grandchildren, Anthony is committed to leaving a lasting impact through his work. As he approaches the end of his distinguished career, he remains focused on making a difference and ensuring the success of the programs he oversees.
