Vivian Casellas Garcia

Staff Accountant

Vivian's passion for accounting has been the driving force behind her successful career, embodying the concept championed by Simon Sinek that passion is the fuel for success. Her journey in accounting began early, inspired by her childhood days spent playing with ledgers and checkbooks on her mother’s desk, and continued with dedicated Sunday mornings engrossed in "Small Firms and Big Business."

Vivian's academic path includes significant milestones such as a master’s degree from Southern State University and foundational studies at Chaffey College and California State University, San Bernardino. These experiences have provided her with profound insights and a versatile skill set in the expansive world of business and finance.

As a Staff Accountant at National Healthcare & Housing Advisors (NHHA), Vivian plays a crucial role in aligning with the organization’s core mission to uplift vulnerable communities, including individuals facing homelessness. Her multifaceted responsibilities include enhancing payroll accuracy, steering complex software integrations, and training and mentoring new staff. Vivian ensures meticulous financial oversight through bank reconciliations and the management of fiscal reports, fostering improvements in operational processes to amplify NHHA's outreach efforts.

Vivian is particularly excited about her engagement with the non-profit sector, where she advises on and develops sophisticated accounting systems tailored to the unique needs of clients. Her role extends beyond routine accounting tasks to encompass strategic financial planning and implementation, managing accounts payable and receivable, initiating new employee software training, and guiding project management frameworks.

As Vivian progresses towards her aspiration of becoming a Senior Accountant and eventually a Controller, her commitment to leveraging her expertise for social good remains steadfast. She is eager to continue navigating the challenges of the financial landscape to devise solutions that enhance business efficiency and contribute profoundly to societal well-being.
