Brennan is the former Special Projects Coordinator for Illumination Foundation working directly under the CEO, Paul Leon and Executive Team. In his role he was tasked with assessing and developing strategies and processes to further the mission of Illumination Foundation (disrupting the cycle of homelessness). He outlined the structure of Illumination Foundation and created a detailed and analytical roadmap for the company highlighting every business service line and the integration of those service lines across the company. Through his work at Illumination Foundation, Brennan gained in-depth knowledge of Medi-Cal and its new programs that began in 2022, specifically CalAIM. He saw first-hand the implementation of CalAIM throughout Illumination Foundation’s multiple sites and the successful outcomes produced through the program.

During his tenure at Illumination Foundation, Brennan also worked as a leader in the Human Resources department, helping to oversee and problem solve during the migration of a new payroll system while also refining processes for recruitment and retention. Brennan also worked on event strategy in unison with the Communications & Development team for their largest fundraiser known as Chef’s Table, held annually at the Disneyland Hotel. The event raised a record $1.3 million. He also worked with the Communications & Development team to run their annual consortium, bringing together key stakeholders from across the country to discuss social justice, health equity, homelessness and find solutions to those barriers affecting vulnerable communities.

Brennan was a valuable asset to the Illumination Foundation team and served in a myriad of ways. He developed a deep knowledge of housing and healthcare as it relates to homelessness. He cultivated a sophisticated understanding of CalAIM specifically, ECM and Community Supports. Brennan is known for his strong communication and interpersonal skills and is also an accomplished relationship builder.

Brennan graduated from Loyola Marymount University in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Philosophy.
